Films for Kids and Young Adults

Films for Kids and Young Adults

Finding your place in the world, growing up, life’s big questions – these are the themes at the heart of this year’s programme for kids and teens. Twenty-two feature films, documentaries, animated films, music videos and experimental films from around the world approach these questions.

The kids and young people’s programme is a core part of our Festival. We showcase films by directors from around the world that speak to and engage young audiences. Diverse in genre, aesthetics and storytelling styles, yet united by a queer-feminist, diversity-conscious and empowering perspective, these films take young people’s viewpoints seriously. Watching their stories together on the big screen and discussing them afterwards is what makes the Festival such a rewarding experience for young people. The programme is accompanied by discussions with experienced film educators.
