Industry get-together

Since 2013, IFFF Dortmund+Köln has organised panel discussions and network meetings at the Berlinale in Berlin.

In 2021 the event was held as a panel discussion via Zoom under the title FREE THE GAZE – A best practice discussion on cinematic emancipation. Curator and director Ania Freer (Goat Curry Gallery, Real Talk), Emma Davie (director of Becoming Animal, I am Breathing & lecturer at Edinburgh College of Art), director and cinematographer Néhémie Lémal (On ne peut plus rien dire) and producer and screenwriter Paulina Lorenz (Futur Drei, Druck) discussed their practices of participatory forms of representation and solidarity-based collaborations.

The discussion was hosted by author, artist, curator, scholar and Pleasure activist Ama Josephine B. Johnstone.

The recording video is now online available on our chanels on Vimeo and Youtube.

In collaboration with ifs internationale filmschule köln, Pro Quote Film and WIFT Germany.

The next Industry get-together will take place in spring 2022.
