Dancing with Tears in my Eyes

The films in this programme section invite dialogue – because fair and fulfilling queer ways of life are built on surprising connections. Examples are the link between the climate crisis and experimentation with ecosexuality, or between the arduous process of working through family constellations and the right to joyfully create one’s own gender.

»Dancing with Tears in my Eyes« asks how we can create a liveable reality without allowing ourselves to be intimidated by the current backlash in the form of policies like the revoking of trans* rights or brutal deportations. The filmmakers and artists of the queer programme give us an abundance of defiant and encouraging pointers, showing us all how to dance with tears in your eyes.
