on fire
was brennt
Jana Bauch
The two protagonists of this film, Indigo and Ronni, are followed while building tree houses, cooking, and reflecting on political actions. They are climate activists living in Lützerath, part of the group organising life there and fighting for climate justice. Jana Bauch accompanied them for two years until the camp was evicted in January 2023. Her cinematic images portray the protagonists and their life in the village which is gradually being encroached upon by the edge of the open-cast mines.
