What connects an antique telephone with a carved fantasy bird and a rusty tea kettle? They all gather as exhibits in the »Museum of Antiquities of All Species« founded by Senobia Cerrud. Located in a small village in Panama, the museum includes not just the house but also a wild garden. There are curiosities standing, lying or hanging everywhere you look. Many are shrouded in a charming layer of dust, as if Senobia hasn’t been here for a while. But now, the women of the village gather in the museum and relate their life dreams, day-to-day structures and family make-ups. While we hear the village chitchat on the latest love affairs and about who would rather not be alone at night, a magical attraction develops between the seemingly banal objects of the museum and the fates of these women. Between the traces, colours, light refinements like sparkling glitter paper and caskets that open as if by magic, even this bastion of old age seems inspired to open up to a new direction.
