On his first ballroom night, Wes accompanies his partner Mireille into a dazzling world of voguing, performance and dance. Amidst pulsating beats and collective energy, he discovers a community that goes far beyond partying: he finds a space for self-empowerment where Black queer identity is championed – and where simply being visible and existing constitutes an act of resistance.

Les Lón’su
Les Lón’su ist ein spanisch-kongolesischer queerer Filmemacher mit Leidenschaft für soziale Gerechtigkeit und Gemeinschaft. Er absolvierte seine Ausbildung an der ifs Internationale Filmschule Köln. Seit 2021 ist er aktives Mitglied der Ballroom-Szene, in der er sich etabliert hat. In seiner Arbeit rückt er marginalisierte Perspektiven in den Fokus und macht sie zum Ausgangspunkt für neue Geschichten.
