It’s about guilt, about following the crowd, about the silence between two people that suddenly becomes political. In her film, Hoàng Quỳnh Nguyễn doesn’t show a purely dystopian world, but a very contemporary one. Hoàng Quỳnh Nguyễn wurde 1997 in Hanoi geboren und wuchs in Rostock auf, wo sie ihre ersten Berührungspunkte mit dem Filmemachen hatte. 2017 zog sie nach Berlin, um Kommunikationsdesign zu studieren, gründete das dänisch-deutsche Filmfestival 48h of Hygge und schließlich ihre eigene Produktionsfirma DEADSAIDFILMS. Seit 2023 studiert sie Filmregie an der Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF.
