Farewell Recording for an observer of an unknown time and place
Rita Macedo
A voice-over accompanies us on a cinematic journey through landscapes. It determines whether the film pauses or continues. The voice tells us about the ›Invasive Landscape Phenomenon‹, a disease which is spreading rapidly. Landscapes appear and reality becomes indistinguishable from imagination. In the cinema, references to ecological disasters, technological progress, experiences of loss, and memories all unfold within a science fiction-type narrative which blurs the boundaries between times, making them impossible to separate from each other
