Short Film Programme: Raging silent film pioneers

Black and white photograph of three women sitting around a small round table with their palms resting on the table.

These rarities from the early years of cinema are revenge films of a truly special kind. They utilise the sensational new capabilities of cinema to depict supernatural phenomena and evil forces. They demonstrate the liberating potential of raw female rage. Rage and horror films avant la lettre.
