Chambermaid Rosalie finds a spider while she’s cleaning: a spider in the morning brings grief and worry. She kills the unfortunate insect − causing considerable collateral damage, only to discover a second spider at lunchtime while serving food… Arachnophobia à la Rosalie. The resilient and assertive character was portrayed by Sarah Duhamel in a whole series of silent films with great physical presence and huge success.
Romeo Bosetti
Romeo Bosetti, geboren 1879 in Chiari, Italien, war ein französischer Schauspieler, Regisseur und Drehbuchautor. Ab 1906 arbeitete er für Pathé Frères und spezialisierte sich auf komödiantische Kurzfilme. In vielen davon heckt Léontine neue Streiche aus. Bosetti gilt als Pionier der Slapstick-Komödie im frühen französischen Kino. Er starb 1948 in Suresnes, Frankreich.
