Untitled Sequence of Gaps
Vika Kirchenbauer
In this essay film composed of short vignettes of varying technique and materiality, the non-visible spectrum of light – what we feel but never see – becomes a means of dealing with trauma-induced memory loss. What are the effects of the invisible and what is the power inherent in shifting violence beyond visibility? How do digital archives and technologies define our relationship to the past, present and future?
