The seduction scene in The Hunger (1983) between Catherine Deneuve and Susan Sarandon is legendary. A young woman (annette hollywood) visits the two protagonists in front of the screen and tries to interact with them. Gradually, she gains access to the film, but it doesn’t always run smoothly and often ends in a rush of video snow. Will she rewrite film history?

annette hollywood, geboren 1969 in Mainz, setzt sich kritisch und humorvoll mit gesellschaftspolitischen Fragen unserer Zeit auseinander. Durch ihre performative Aneignungsstrategie des »Performing Found Footage«, bei der sie mit pop- und massenkulturellen Phänomenen interagiert, entstehen Dekonstruktionen massenmedial geprägter Formate und damit neue Sichtweisen. Sie hat an der Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig studiert und war visiting scholar der New York University.
