The seduction scene in The Hunger (1983) between Catherine Deneuve and Susan Sarandon is legendary. A young woman (annette hollywood) visits the two protagonists in front of the screen and tries to interact with them. Gradually, she gains access to the film, but it doesn’t always run smoothly and often ends in a rush of video snow. Will she rewrite film history?

annette hollywood, born in Mainz in 1969, critically and humorously addresses the socio-political issues of our time. Through her appropriation strategy of »performing found footage«, in which she interacts with pop and mass cultural phenomena, she deconstructs mass media formats and thus allows new perspectives to emerge. hollywood studied at Braunschweig University of Art and was a visiting scholar at New York University.
