Las Pardas
Simone Sojo
Simone Sojo’s debut Las Pardas drifts dreamily between fantasy and reality. Under the cover of darkness, a group of trans friends sneak into a municipal swimming pool to escape the summer heat and enjoy themselves without inquisitive glances. This is the starting point of a film that – beneath the knowing smiles of its protagonists – hides sorrow and profound pain. A film that speaks to us about the importance of community, laughter and trans love.
