The images captured by Alanis Obomsawin transport us to Nunavik, an Arctic territory. We see two women and a child enjoying a summer day, the pleasures of berry picking and fishing, the intimacy of bodies and the performativity of singing as the sound of two elders throat-singing fills the environment. This documentary piece is part of the Canada Vignettes series by the National Film Board of Canada.
