As an international festival, we screen films from around the world in various languages. Almost all feature-length films are subtitled in German, and some are subtitled in both German and English (bilingual).

For the short film programs, we generally do not provide German subtitles, though there are exceptions. Short films in German or English may have subtitles. Non-English-language films are subtitled in German or English. Some of the short films have no dialogue.

All films nominated for the Audience Award can be found here and are marked with a heart in the program.

The festival opening will take place on April 22, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Filmpalast (Hohenzollernring 22, 50672 Köln) for invited guests.

The awards ceremony will take place on April 26, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. at the Orangerie Theater (Volksgartenstraße 25, 50677 Köln) for invited guests.

Join us in celebrating three emerging talent awards: the Female Gaze – CineOne & sPOTTlight National Competition for Cinematographers, the ECFA Short Film Award, and the Shoot – Emerging Talent Award for KHM artists, worth €1,000.
