Pauline, Chayenne, Eriona and Liv from the Ruhr region of Germany regularly prove the opposite is true during training and in tournaments against boys’ teams. The 13- to 14-year-olds boldly challenge the prejudices of the still male-dominated football world and demonstrate they are by no means inferior to boys when it comes to discipline, team spirit and sheer love of the game.
Karin de Miguel Wessendorf
Karin de Miguel Wessendorf (1974, Barcelona) is a documentary film-maker and author of television reports and radio features. She studied German and media studies in Barcelona, Munich and Cologne. Working for an NGO, she promoted indigenous documentary films in Mexico in 2005. She has since made her own documentaries for cinema and television. Her films have screened at numerous international festivals.
