Pauline, Chayenne, Eriona and Liv from the Ruhr region of Germany regularly prove the opposite is true during training and in tournaments against boys’ teams. The 13- to 14-year-olds boldly challenge the prejudices of the still male-dominated football world and demonstrate they are by no means inferior to boys when it comes to discipline, team spirit and sheer love of the game.

Karin de Miguel Wessendorf (1974, Barcelona) ist Dokumentarfilmerin und Autorin von Fernsehreportagen und Radiofeatures. Sie studierte Germanistik und Medienwissenschaften in Barcelona, München und Köln. Als Mitarbeiterin einer NGO förderte sie 2005 indigene Dokumentarfilme in Mexiko. Seither dreht sie eigene Dokumentarfilme für Kino und Fernsehen. Ihre Filme liefen auf zahlreichen internationalen Festivals.
