Luiza Gonçalves, geboren 1997 in Buenos Aires, studierte Film und Video am New Yorker Pratt Institute. Ihr erster Dokumentarkurzfilm New City Doc wurde 2016 auf dem Nyack Festival gezeigt. Ihren zweiten Kurzfilm Un bananero no es casualidad realisierte sie im Rahmen eines Masterprogramms an der spanischen Elias Querejeta Zine Eskola. Derzeit dreht Gonçalves ihren ersten Spielfilm Melonhood.
