Workshop: Queer Home Movies
Home movies and videos are a phenomenon from a time gone by. But are they still around somewhere today, now that digital platforms offer a space and different formats for people to produce their own visual and audio material? Film scholar Dr Dagmar Brunow and Natascha Frankenberg (curator of desired! – film lust and queer) join the audience to watch home movies submitted prior to the Festival and discuss their potential significance for a history of the queer movement.
Rewind and have a closer look: What do we see and what does the narrative reveal? And what would an archive of queer home movies be like?
The workshop is free and open to everyone.
