Club Fortuna: Gnawz Imaman

Club Fortuna

With a concept of art that intermediates between private and public life, »Club Fortuna« takes pleasure in causing perplexity. Their collaborative projects bear such names as The World, Defensive and Maximum Desire. They are episodes that post-ironically and humorously bring to mind everyday challenges and sometimes models of society. In its performances, the Club plays consistently and in a complex manner with traditional approaches to artistic creativity, speculative encounters and openly formulated stories about current world events. The three performers succeed in addressing world political or existential problems on a visual level and challenge their recipients directly with these issues. In Dortmund, the »Club Fortuna« invites us to a grand »gala dilemma«. A public »resilience workshop« entitled Gnawz Imaman takes place. It is about beginnings, bridges, bastards but, of course, also about inquiries. According to »Club Fortuna«, power factor correction is far more than just the inner thigh and external reins. Individual treatments on the basis of cholesterol are planned. Dress code: admittance.

Club Fortuna

Club Fortuna is a group of artists including Xenia Lesniewski, Julia Rublow, and Sarah Sternat. Their broad range of activity includes a variety of experiments across art, society, and existential motivated life- help. Their mission and projects grow from the constructive analysis of current developments, social mechanics, and the unapologetic completion of the sometimes depressive everyday life of young artists. The group crosses biographical frontiers, and transfers within and outside of the artistic paradigm. Their performances and collective artwork meticulously question the current role of an artist, as well as their connected cross-social responsibility.
