Art on the MOve: Sexualität, Gewalt und die Kunst zum Überleben
Three short films and a conversation with Amina Maher as part of »Kleiner Freitag«.
Works of art by Max Beckmann and Freya Hattenberger in the MO_Collection presentation reflect on the relationship between sexuality and violence. Iranian filmmaker Amina Maher, who became known for her participation in Abbas Kiarostami’s world-famous film Ten, juxtaposes this with an autobiographically inspired trilogy of short films in which she processes experiences of sexualized violence, trauma, shame, and desire into art.
