Art on the MOve: Fusing Perspectives – Films by Carolee Schneemann and VALIE EXPORT

Silloutte of a woman in front of a purple background with structure.

Carolee Schneemann and VALIE EXPORT, two pioneers of experimental film, come together.

Their films make lavish use of the body; this female response to the male-dominated experimental film of the 1960s and 70s is analytical and humorous. Works by both artists have been included in the MO_Sammlung in recent years and thus contribute to making art history in Dortmund more female.

Syntagma | VALIE EXPORT | 1983  18 min.
