Syntagma (1983) explores the relationship between the female body, identity and social perception. Experimental image techniques such as mirroring and split screens are used to visualize the fragmentation of the Self. The female figure appears as an active subject who defies external attributions. The film questions traditional role models and makes inner and social tensions visible. The result is a powerful contribution to feminist cinematography and the critique of visual representation.
