Yumi Joung
A girl draws a circle on the floor, then walks away. Gradually, more and more passers-by gather in this circle. Is there a rule that says you can only stay there? When the girl returns and erases the circle, the crowd disperses. In fine black and white drawings, without dialogue and only minimalist sound design, the film invites viewers to reflect on group dynamics and personal freedom.

Yumi Joung
Yumi Joung (1981) ist eine koreanische Regisseurin, die für ihre einfühlsamen und kunstvollen Animationsfilme bekannt ist. Ihre Werke zeichnen sich durch eine minimalistische Ästhetik und tiefgründige Themen aus, die oft persönliche und gesellschaftliche Reflexionen enthalten. Sie studierte Bildende Kunst und Animation an der Korean Academy of Film Arts. Joung hat mehrfach auf renommierten internationalen Filmfestivals Erfolge gefeiert.
