A move, a new environment, a strained situation at home: 12-year-old Luca is torn between her love for her autistic sister and her own need for attention. A chance encounter sparks hopes of a new friendship, but these are promptly dashed. Luca finds comfort in the person she least expects it from. Inspired by personal experience, the story offers an intimate glimpse into life alongside a loved one with autism.
Lea Marie Lembke
Lea Marie Lembke grew up in Berlin and studied philosophy and film at the Freie Universität Berlin. She gained experience in the film industry as an assistant director, casting coordinator and production assistant before she started studying fiction film directing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in 2019. Her short film Mise à nu premiered at the 73rd Berlinale in the Generation 14plus section.
