Spotless
Emma Branderhorst
Like about 9 per cent of women in the Netherlands aged between 12 and 25, Ruby can’t always afford to buy menstrual hygiene products. She lives with her mother and sister in a small apartment in a pre-fab high-rise. Money is always tight. When the teenager gets her period, she’s afraid to ask her mother for tampons, and instead looks for other solutions.
