Nicola Gördes & Stella Rossié
Last Night is a chamber play-like film that explores interpersonal relationships. Set in the near future, a diverse group of people gathers in a long-closed bar to escape the heat and indulge in excessive drinking. What begins as an innocent disco dance evolves into a sentimental polonaise, escalating tensions and steering the evening towards an unexpected turn. The last evening is portrayed in a dystopian world – one that could repeat itself endlessly.
Nicola Gördes & Stella Rossié
Nicola Gördes and Stella Rossié are film directors, artists, costume designers and set designers. They have been working together on films, videos and performances since 2013. Born in Lennestadt in 1987, Gördes studied at the University of Fine Arts Münster and Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. She lives in Dortmund and works at theatres and operas throughout Germany. Rossié, who was born in Bochum in 1989, studied at HFBK in Hamburg and has been involved in various film productions.
