Helena Uambembe, geboren 1994 in Pomfret, Südafrika, lebt und arbeitet in Berlin. In ihrer multidisziplinären Praxis untersucht sie die Schnittstellen zwischen persönlicher und politischer Geschichte und verfolgt die Spuren des Kolonialismus, von Konflikten und Migration in Angola, Südafrika und darüber hinaus. Zu ihren wichtigsten Ausstellungen zählen Präsentationen im Museum für Moderne Kunst Frankfurt, in der Kunsthalle Bremen und im Haus der Kunst in München.
