Fjögur Píanó
Alma Har’el
Sigur Rós, a post-rock-band from Iceland, gave a dozen film-makers the same modest budget and asked them to create whatever comes into their head when they listen to songs from the band’s new album valtari. The idea was to allow people the utmost creative freedom. In Film No 3, Alma Har’el visualized her ideas. A kind of dream sequence about a couple overtaken by its destructive relationship.
Alma Har’el
Alma Har’el was born and raised in Israel. She is a director of music videos and the award-winning documentary Bombay Beach (2011). In her works, she combines choreographed dance elements with music to create dreamlike poetic meditations, thus skilfully conflating the borders between documentary film and fiction.
