El árbol magnético
The Magnetic Tree
Isabel Ayguavives
»The Magnetic Tree tells the simple story of someone returning to the place to which they belong – or at least to where a significant part of their memories belong – just before the place, a family country house, disappears. Perhaps after such a long time, only the memories of a shared past hold this person and his family together; memories which the family tries hard to reproduce to please their guest, or perhaps themselves, now they don’t get to see each other very often. Their encounter is both a greeting and a goodbye.«

Bruno returns to his country after a long absence. The country house he shared with his family as a child is now up for sale, and they all gather round to say their goodbyes. A visit to the »Magnetic Tree«, a strange local attraction, will stir in him sensations and longings that were almost forgotten.
