Myrsini Aristidou
Seventeen-year-old Aria works at Jimmy’s, a kebab joint in Athens. She is due to have her next driving lesson with her father in her lunch break. When he finally shows up, he has bad news: »I can’t make it. I have to take care of her papers first.« In the car sits a young Chinese woman who speaks neither Greek nor English. Aria is not amused. What do you do if a language barrier seems insurmountable? A journey into the unknown begins …

Myrsini Aristidou
Myrsini studied film production at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. In 2013, she completed a programme in film and art History at the Pratt Institute in New York. Her last short film Semele received several awards, including the Special Jury Award for Best Short Film at the Berlinale 2016 in the Generation Kplus competition. She is currently working on her first feature-length film Borders.
