A Choice, Maybe Not
Jenny Man Wu
Because she cannot decide on a particular shampoo among the thousand look-alikes on the supermarket shelves, the young woman leaves the store without buying a product. In fact, she suffers from a kind of OCD, an obessive compulsion disorder, she tells her girl-friend who’s familiar with the topic. Now the two philosophise about the temptations, promises and curses of consumer society, comparing their (in) decisiveness problems as they relate to shopping with those that relate to choice of partner. Not without irony, they come to a solution.
