Cinematography Workshop Discussion

Cinematography Workshop Discussion

Sophie Maintigneux, Sonja Rom

The Workshop Discussion on Image Design is now a traditional highlight at the festival. During the course of the four-hour workshop talk, Sophie Maintigneux – the renowned director of photography, twice winner of the German Camera Award and professor at the Cologne Academy of Media Arts – succeeds in covering a wide range of topics and, with her colleague, crystallising specific film-set situations and everyday work experiences. In that process, ethical issues and film policy matters will be also addressed as well as the personal circumstances of the two interlocutors. The talk will be interspersed with film extracts and of course there will be ample opportunity for questions from the floor.
