Short film programme from 14 years

Rachid (14+ programme) also struggles with family expectations. Fun-loving and naïve, he stumbles from one white lie to the next, trying to live up to the culturally and religiously influenced expectations of his Moroccan-born parents while searching for a job in his home country of Belgium. Also caught between two worlds is the brightly coloured, animated, gender-neutral character in Gravity, a dystopian thought experiment where gravity emanates from the sky. Meanwhile, the creators of Lost in Helsinki find themselves stranded midway on their journey – turning this moment into an opportunity to reflect on identity, privilege, discrimination and everyday racism in a quasi-documentary format.
