International Feature Film Competition, 3rd or later fictional film
Prize money of €15,000
- Eligible are third and later fictional feature films produced for the film market with a length of at least 65 minutes (no college films, no graduation films, no debuts and second features).
- Submitted film productions must have been directed by one or more cis women, intersex women, trans women, non-binary or genderqueer persons.
- Film production has to be completed after 1 March 2025.

Panorama – A Matter of Form: feminist AI
The documentary and experimental programme »Panorama« of IFFF Dortmund+Köln is seeking works that explore artificial intelligence (AI) from a feminist perspective. The festival is looking for artistic perspectives that work with this new media technology in an intentional and reflective way. It is essential that technical progress is aligned with the gender-sensitive and critical form of image production that lies at the heart of the festival’s mission.
Much has been said about the need for a feminist, anti-discriminatory handling of data-based image production. We would like to focus on the audiovisual outcome of these demands and discussions. What do feminist AI-generated films by cis women, intersex women, trans women, non-binary or genderqueer persons look like? Some artists use AI to construct feminist worlds – lost or speculative – that they would otherwise not be able to visualize. Others produce highly artistic works critical of AI. We are looking for either projects, or those in-between.
- Eligible are international feature films, documentaries and experimental films of all genres, with a running time of up to 90 minutes, provided they have been created wholly or in part using AI and in which AI is used in a feminist context.
- Submitted film productions must have been directed by one or more cis women, intersex women, trans women, non-binary or genderqueer persons.
- Film production has to be completed after 1 November 2025.

Panorama – A Matter of Form: immersive 180°/360° works
The documentary and experimental programme »Panorama« of IFFF Dortmund+Köln is seeking works that explore immersive visual worlds from a feminist perspective. The festival is looking for artistic perspectives that work with new media technologies in an intentional and reflective way. It is essential that technical progress is aligned with the gender-sensitive and critical form of image production that lies at the heart of the festival’s mission.
We aim to provide an overview of what immersive, feminist 180° and 360° works by cis women, intersex women, trans women, non-binary or genderqueer persons might look like. What visual worlds do these techniques open up, what narrative forms do they enable, and what forms emerge from them? Some artists use immersive techniques to construct feminist worlds – whether lost or speculative. Others create highly artistic works that critically deconstruct the world and technology. We are looking for projects of this kind, or those that fall somewhere in between.
- Eligible are international 180°/360° videos in 2D and 3D with a running time of up to 60 minutes.
- Submitted videos must have been directed by one or more cis women, intersex women, trans women, non-binary or genderqueer persons.
- The production has to be completed after 1 November 2025.
