Desperate to find a job, Rachid gets himself hired as a ritual butcher for the Feast of Sacrifice, setting off a chain of white lies. His cheerful naivety conflicts with the expectations of his Moroccan immigrant parents. Fast-paced and humorous, the film explores the tensions that can arise when personal identity clashes with familial expectations and cultural-religious traditions.

Rachida El Garani, geboren 1975 in Genk, begann 2011 im Alter von 36 Jahren ihr Studium der Audiovisuellen Künste an der RITCS School of Arts in Brüssel. Während ihres Studiums drehte sie mehrere Kurz- und Dokumentarfilme, die sich mit Themen wie Geschlechterfragen, Migration und Menschenrechten befassen. Heute arbeitet sie vielseitig in Film, Fernsehen und Reportage und setzt sich für Diversität und soziale Gerechtigkeit ein.
