In the café where she works, Mona discovers a book of archive photos from the Arab Image Foundation. This sparks a quest to uncover queer Arab histories, leading her to imagine herself in the charged atmosphere of a 1920s Arab salon, surrounded by cross-dressing women.

May Ziadé ist eine in London lebende französisch-libanesische Filmemacherin und Mitbegründerin von Other People’s Films, einer Produktionsfirma, die Brücken kreiert zwischen konventionellem Kino und Filmarbeit, die mit Formen spielt.
