Spot on, NRW! presents COIN FILM and Vatersland by Petra Seeger

With this section we want to provide an unfiltered insight into what it really takes for women to compete and succeed in the film industry. Women producers and distributors who successfully work with female directors talk about who they are and what they do in a workshop discussion format.

In 2022 we will present the Cologne based producers Christine Kiauk and Herbert Schwering from COIN FILM. The company’s breakthrough came in 2002 with Almut Getto’s critically acclaimed feature film Do Fish Do It?. They will reveal more about their unusual career paths, collaborations with directors such as Lola Randl and Nanouk Leopold and their (creative) approach to the pandemic in an exclusive interview, introducing this new item on the festival agenda in Cologne for the first time.

Vatersland.

They have also brought along Vatersland. The first feature film by documentary filmmaker Petra Seeger will be screened at the Filmhaus after the talk.
