With Quo Vadis, Aida? we join the very first film screenings in the reopened Filmhaus Cologne. The city has finally got this important place back.

The Srebrenica massacre, in which Serbian militias murdered thousands of Bosnians, was 25 years ago. Jasmila Žbanić shows in her drama how the local translator Aida gets caught between the lines, goes about her work and at the same time tries to save her family.

Especially in these days, the importance of this dense and stirring film, which won our main prize in the feature film competition in June, is once again becoming apparent.
