Melina Pafundi allows the androgynous child to speak. The child switches between yesterday and today, and represents a character who defies today’s violent binarisms that are a constant cause of exclusion and discrimination. Pafundi made the film on the basis of this awareness and with a sense of concern. The film blends together old and new aspects of her life story: visually, she refers to Argentina, the country she has left, while Germany is incorporated acoustically via the new language she has learned. Pafundi uses the medium to establish connections rather than opposites.
