The Film All-Nighter

The film weaves through a mixture of stop-motion animation, found footage and interviews, documenting the journey of a film-maker making a film about the famed German author Karl May. The result is a mash-up of contemporary, historical and fictional occurrences in the streets and deserts of the imaginary Wild West of America.

Martha Colburn

Martha Colburn is an artist filmmaker based in Pennsylvania and Amsterdam. She uses the language and materials of filmmaking to comment on popular culture, consumerism, politics, and sexuality and has made over fifty films since 1994. In 2010, her films joined the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
