Clara van Gool
Voices of Finance is a docudrama based on the eponymous banking blog by Joris Luyendijk in the British newspaper The Guardian which featured managers talking about their lives and work in the global finance world. The camera follows ten characters through London’s financial district, their voice-over monologues simultaneously portrayed through highly stylized dance choreographies. A competitive, glamorous, exhausting, precarious and high-stress world, where each day could be your last.

Clara van Gool
Clara von Gool is a graduate of the Netherlands Film and Television Academy. Her films always deal with movement. She likes to experiment with narrative techniques in her fictional and documentary works, video installations and commercials. Van Gool collaborates with various choreographers to bring dance performances to the screen, including Jordi Cortés Molina, Lloyd Newson, Suzy Blok, Ria Marks and Medhi Walerski.
