Via Karelia
Elian Mikkola
The search for a lost identity, hidden in the woods of a deserted war zone. How is trauma transmitted from one generation to the next? Elian Mikkola sets out to find their grandmother’s house. But how do you approach places when nothing seems to exist any more? Film material is not just examined in this work, it is fragmented and superimposed. Change grows out of a feeling of powerlessness.
