The Aegean or the Anus of Death
A mysterious man appears at various locations in Athens where racist attacks have taken place over the last few years. Why is he giving instructions how to use life jackets? Who is he trying to save from the »anus of death«? Eleni Gioti’s film is a poetic assault on the current spread of fascistoid ideas in Greece.
Born 1982 in Thessaloniki, Gioti studied media theory in Athens before moving to Paris to study film. She is currently working as a screenwriter and assistant director on several experimental and documentary films. The Aegean or the Anus of Death is her directorial debut.
