Mojisola Adebayo
STARS tells the story of the Nommo: extraterrestrial afro-hermaphroditic, anthro-amphibian migrants. Their cosmic stories of planetary constellations and distant stars, passed down by the Dogon of Mali, leave the blue-eyed people in awe. Where does their intergalactic knowledge come from? Blending music, humour and poetry, Mojisola Adebayo creates an African counter-narrative to Candice Purwin’s black-and-white animation.
