As in Solitary Acts #4, Dinçel edits the 16mm material by carving the text directly onto the analogue filmstrip. She films herself practising kissing in the mirror and calls up memories of her first sexual experiences as a teenager.
Nazlı Dinçel
Born in Turkey, Dinçel moved to the USA at the age of seventeen. Familiar from an early age with different social patterns as a result of her exposure to a new culture and language, she is interested first and foremost in her work in language and its disappearance.
