Johanna’s holiday in idyllic Piecht is anything but relaxing. While Johanna’s mother dreams of the ecological alternative, a real nightmare begins for Johanna. She bravely investigates the situation, but encounters brutal resistance.

Luka Lara Steffen has been studying media arts at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne since 2014. During this time, she produced several short films and the long documentary Passion Plays, which premiered at the Filmfestival Max Ophüls Preis in 2020. Her graduation film Piecht was funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media. Steffen works as a freelance editor at WDR (Westdeutscher Rundfunk Köln) and as a journalist.
