Lia Hietala
Lia Hietala was born in 1993 and lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden. She worked as an assistant director before making her directorial debut with If I Say No, a short film which was selected to screen at the Tromsø International Film Festival. In 2016, she received a scholarship from the Nordnorsk Filmsenter to develop her second short. My Gay Sister premiered in the Sektion Generation Kplus at Berlin International Film Festival in 2017. Hietala is currently working on her third short film and is also developing a feature film.
