In 2019, Chaka Khan, music icon and grande dame of the 70s and 80s, released her first album in over ten years. For the superfunky pre-album single Like Sugar, Kim Gehrig created a video in which dancers’ movements are looped to the rhythm of the music. A simple idea, energetic and masterfully executed. Kim Gehrig
Kim Gehrig is a director working internationally across film, music videos and commercials, She is a Central Saint Martins’ alumnus and is originally from Sydney, Australia. She began her career with the advertising agency Mother. Like Sugar received an Award at the UKMVA in 2018. She produced Dream Crazier for Nike in 2019 and her irreverent, multi-award-winning commercial Viva La Vulva, which went on to win a Glass Lion award for Change. She is currently based in London.
