Neighbour Friedel Miko, who is almost a hundred years old, describes her everyday life and the blurred gaps between remembering and forgetting. Dreamlike animated sequences and a hypnotic soundtrack gently immerse us in the trials and tribulations of growing old.

Lenia Friedrich works with pixels, paper, voice, time and fabric. The focus of her artistic work lies in documentary animated films about older women and exploring human perception and the formation of memory. She completed her master’s degree in Media Arts at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne with distinction in 2024, previously gained a bachelor’s degree in Media Design in Münster and is a trained draughtswoman.
