Letters from the Edge of the Forest

Squirrels, tigers, hedgehogs and elephants love letters, but sadly, they can’t write them. Apart from the owl, who demands a princely sum for his services. Rather unfairly. But then the mole invites the animals to his birthday party, and the owl starts to realise that camaraderie is worth more than all the wealth in the world. An anarchically designed film about self-empowerment and true friendship, with a slight critique of capitalism thrown in for good measure.

Jelena Oroz
Jelena Oroz (1987) first studied art education at the Academy of Arts in Osijek. Shortly after, she earned a degree in Animated Film and New Media at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, where she has worked as an artistic associate since 2019. Oroz’s films have been screened and have won several awards at numerous festivals around the world.
